Eaton Square is an Edwardian house on a residential square in Monkstown.
Our clients, a young family relocating from London, were attracted by its location and the gravitas of its rooms, but they also wanted a different kind of space.
This was to be somewhere to lounge around in, play in, have parties and get togethers in which was neither like the formal spaces of the house nor completely outside of it.
Our task became to create an atmospheric quality rather than meet a function, and we did this through the strong geometry of the extension & its detailing and textures.
